I want to talk to you about how to follow up with potential clients.

People who are interested don`t need a lot of follow-up communication.

They just don`t…if they`re really interested.

Yes, maybe a follow-up call that you`ve already scheduled makes sense if it is going to add value and serve the client.

But they don`t need a lot of:

“Hey, just thinking about you.”

“Just wanted to send you this.”

“Just checking in.”

If they`re interested, they`re going to call you, they know where you are.

Many people get into the coaching profession and:

Give advice – where coaching is about helping the client to evoke their own answers. They know what will work for them better than anyone.

Lean into therapy – therapy is about recovery and coaching is about discovery.

Consult – consultants are paid to know answers about certain topics and they often go out and fulfill an agreed upon area of specialty.

While these are all great modalities, coaching is completely different.

Coaching is about deep listening, being in the client`s world, and helping the client to gain awareness through curiosity and powerful questions.

Coaching is all about forward momentum and helping the client reach new levels of possibility and success. 💪

Remember: Our ideal client usually has something in common with us.

So, if we don’t find our offer exciting and something we would want to enroll in, then it’s time to go back to the drawing board. ✍️
